Arizona’s Chances to Make the Postseason

So, as an Arizona alumni and sporadic fan (Which is a story for another day), it’s surprising and exciting to see the Wildcats firmly in control of their own destiny, with a win vs. Oregon securing a Pac-12 Championship, and at the very least, a New Year’s Day bowl. On the other hand, that’s a consolation prize these days to the Playoffs. The Wildcats can’t make the playoffs… can they? Let’s take a look at the other teams contending for postseason Playoff bids, including the Wildcats

Arizona
Currently: 10-2
Remaining: vs. #2 Oregon
Arizona’s two losses are to UCLA and to USC. USC at present is an unranked squad, and UCLA has just been crushed by Stanford. It’s possible that UCLA will be ranked at around #15 during the next polls. Assuming Arizona wins vs. Oregon, it’ll possess two wins over Oregon (~#5 in the polls if this occurs), Arizona State (~#15), and Utah (~#25). However, the loss to USC is fairly damaging, and UCLA is appearing to be a relatively flawed team (9-3 and likely #15). Can Arizona sneak into the playoffs?
