So, where do you get running backs from anyway?

A discussion over on Walterfootball.com got me interested in exactly where and how NFL teams were acquiring their production from Running Backs. This was particularly relevant with the ACL tear that Todd Gurley recently suffered.

So, exactly where are teams getting their rushing yardage? What kind of draft capital are they spending? Are they acquiring solutions in-house or are they poaching talent from other teams?

I’ll be listing each team’s top two Non-Quarterback rushers, only concerned with the yardage they’ve put up. I’ll also be listing how they acquired the player. This list doesn’t care about where a player was initially drafted, only what the team that employs him now had to pay to get him. If a player was an undrafted free agent, I’m only listing the first team to put them onto their active 53 man roster.
